Life rarely takes us where we expect to go. And, like many people who have emerged from the chrysalis of a divorce, or full-time parenting, or any of the challenges that life throws at us, Wendy has faced quite a few fears while redefining her own journey. On the way, she has been supported by the wisdom of others; people, who through their own example, have helped her find her own voice.
Wendy is a freelance writer and speaker, the host of Home Truths podcast on Podcast One, a community advocate as the host of Conversation Club events and a consultant to corporates on the power of authentic communication in business.
Wendy is a freelance writer and is a regular contributor to Renaissance, an international fashion magazine for women over 40. Wendy has written and presented for ABC Radio National, she is currently working on a fictional podcast series, based on her (unpublished) first novel Confessions of a Bondi Blonde.
Wendy uses her story sharing and story telling skills to consistently make events work. Whether speaking about community, interviewing others or hosting a panel discussion for corporate clients like Dexus Group, Wendy understands that audience members must feel emotionally engaged to learn or feel invested in the content. Wendy listens to the answers of people she talks to and asks the questions you’d want answers to.
Wendy has done extensive pro bono work as a facilitator and event host for a range of non-profit organisations including in the gender empowerment and educational sectors. Conversation Club events have raised thousands for charities, including OzHarvest, Room to Read, the YWCA and she has also served on the committees of the Society of Women’s Writers NSW and school parent associations.
